TEN+ years of community upliftment
“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give”
-Winston Churchill
Since day one, our mission has included moving the marker on social issues and helping important causes find the momentum they need.
From our Social-Workers-on-the-Move to our Mothers-Milk-On-The Move, our social impact is felt by many. Uplifting and empowering others through our Business-on-a-Bike projects, encourages innovation and sustainable change.
We’ve been doing it for over 10 years, and that’s just the start.
In 2017, Scully Scooters launched the first ‘Mother’s Milk on the Move’ project’ Premature Babies that are fed their mother’s milk have a significantly higher chance of survival. Many mothers live far distances from where their babies are incubated. We solved this problem by safely transporting the mothers milk from their local clinic to their babies at the Neonatal Unit at Groote Schuur.
Our Founder, explains the goal and ethos of Scully Scooters and Scully Academy in an ENCA news feature. Getting unemployed youth into jobs and work opportunities is why she started this business. Making sure that people are skilled and competent on the roads is the work that we must all be responsible for. Safer roads mean more opportunities for everyone.
